Hearts!

Thinking about Mother's Day I made some unique one-of-a-kind hearts.

I'm still using my fabric scraps from other projects. I enjoy the process as much as the final result, but I'm never anxious to finish something just for the sake of it. I think one has to take the time and also give yourself permission to make mistakes, which I find is about the best way to learn. I love when I can play with different colors and textures of fabrics. My instinct about how to decorate them just comes spontaneously.

No rules to follow or think about it, just you and the message that you want to send to the person who is going to receive it.

Butterfly and the Read Rose Heart.

Te Amo Heart.

Just Twenty Heart.

My hearts are made with lot of dedication and Love!

These are so beautiful! What a great way to use up scrap material, and make something really special. Nicely done!

I am floored by your needlework! Sewing is this big mysterious thing to me. I've always wanted to learn but have been afraid of being horrible at it. I only recently got the nerve to beg my neighbor to teach me. You have a gift!

these hearts are wonderful ~ such a creative use of leftovers ~ and very theatrical! I really like the 20 ~ maybe it's wishful thinking on my part since I just turned 49 :)
